Health and Safety – CHAS Accreditation

We are pleased to announce that for the fourth year running we have been independently assessed by CHAS as being competent with our Health and Safety Policies. We are one of the few operators within the county that have consistently achieved this award which reflects greatly on the attention that we pay to all aspects of providing our customers and staff with a very high level of care when using or working with Bennetts Coaches.

Bennetts Coaches Awarded National Express Contract

Bennetts Coaches are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the National Express Contract between Gloucester and Gatwick/Heathrow Airports. We are currently arranging for the purchase of new coaches that will be all leather interior and with wheelchair access adding a new dimension to our already prestigious fleet.

This contract award now brings the total amount of new business secured by Bennetts in the last six months to an additional £2.5 Million per annum and underlines the hard work and effort that all of our staff have put into making Bennetts Coaches a Premium Operator and the leading independent bus and coach company in Gloucestershire.

We are looking forward to providing all future customers on the National Express Services a truly customer orientated service.


Park and Ride Achieves One Million Journeys

The Park and Ride services in Gloucester and Cheltenham continue to be very popular, with one million journeys completed this year. With new buses now in operation in Cheltenham the service continues to grow.

New Park and Ride Buses

Bennetts Coaches are pleased to announce that we have recently purchased four new Mercedes Citaros for use at the Park and Ride at Arle Court. The buses are now in operation and offer passengers excellent comfort for travel in and out of Cheltenham.


Gloucester Park and Ride – Update 26th March 2010

School Bus Pass Applications

March 19th, 2010

Please note that the applications for new bus passes for Sir Thomas Rich’s and The High School for Girls Schools have all been posted this week second class. This applies to those parents who have requested application packs.

Existing Bus Pass holders have until the 30th April 2010 to decide if they wish to renew for the new school term. All new applications will be reviewed after the 30th April deadline.

School Bus Services Update

All routes are now operating as per the timetables. Unless there is a drastic change in the weather conditions overnight there will be no further updates relating to all of the school routes that we currently provide.

We would like to thank everyone for their assistance over the last week.


School Bus Services Update – 11th January 2010

Update at 13:13 11th January 2010.

Having carried out a review of all of the routes that we provide, it is our intention to run the following services with effect from 12th January 2010. This is subject to any drastic change in the weather conditions that would affect the vehicle safety and those of the passengers.

Brockworth Enterprise School:

All services to run as normal.

St Peter’s High School:

All services to run as normal.

Pates Grammar School:

Service to run as normal.

Newent Community School:

All services to run as normal.

High School for Girls and Sir Thomas Rich’s School:

All services to run as normal with the exception of DR4 and DR6 which will be as follows:

DR4: Service starts at Sandford Mill Road. Due to the road surface, there will be no pick ups from Sixways, Lyefield Road and Copt Elm Road. The remaining pick ups will be as usual. Please can those pupils who would normally be picked up at Sixways, LyefieldRoad and Copt Elm make their way to the Moorend Road/Withyholt Court stop.

DR6: Please can those pupils who would catch this service at Hatherley Court Road, make their way to the junction of Hatherley Court Road and Hatherley Road to catch the bus. This service will then complete its allocated route.
